This is what is actually holding you back
Do you know what holds us back the most in our lives from creating what we say we want most?
Ourselves.
A part of ourselves that we don’t even have conscious control of.
I’m talking about the subconscious and unconscious mind. This is what stops us the MOST from creating what we want in our lives. It’s not the lack of resources, support or time…it’s our thoughts and our limiting beliefs that hold us back.
Let me show how this part of us controls not only our current reality but also our future…
You have an idea, a hit of inspiration. You are really excited about it and it just feels right.
You start taking the next step or planning what’s next to make it happen in your mind.
Then pretty quickly, you begin to doubt yourself in some way. Maybe because a friend or your partner didn’t support the idea as much you wanted or because you hit a roadblock or just because you feel you have ‘failed’ so many times before and who are you to make that happen or dream that big.
And then…the dream begins to dies.
The actions towards bringing that inspiration to life stop.
And you go back to your current reality of what is until the next hit of inspiration hits and the cycle continues again.
Sometimes, you are strong enough mentally to keep on going, to perservere and continue to take action even though your mind and limiting beliefs are telling you to stop every step of the way but this requires a LOT of effort and energy.
And it also means that you have to use this amount of effort and energy every time you do something new that is outside of your comfort zone.
Or…do you?
I have been studying and training in an ancient Hawaiian spiritual and energetic practice called Ho’oponopono. When you use this tool, it erases and clears those limiting beliefs, the mental blocks that are stopping you and the programming from childhood that stops us all in some way or another in our life.
This process is made of up 4 simple yet extremely powerful statements that allow us to in that moment of doubt, fear, trepidation, questioning of oneself or judgement, become centered again, stay in that place of inspiration and continue to move forward in our life towards what we want most without draining ourselves mentally, physically and spiritually.

You won’t get it back…
Time. Possibility. Opportunity.
You won’t get this back if you let it pass you by.
The moments in your day matter.
They make up the minutes.
The minutes make up the hours.
The hours make up the day.
And the days make up the years.
All of a sudden (or so it seems), you look up from your life, the daily grind, what you feel busy with daily and realize that so much time has passed (months or even years). And you can’t get it back.
This is where dreams die.
This is why the soul suffers.
This isn’t living.
Living is embracing each moment.
Recognizing the miracle is now.
Understanding that you do control it all and that you can change it all.
Don’t let your dreams die anymore.
Don’t let the moments pass you by.
If you don’t like something in your life right now, take a deep breath and take the first step to change it. You deserve it. You deserve to live the life that you desire most. Stop making everyone else happy and start making you happy. And when you’re happy, it creates a ripple effect that impacts so many more people.
If there is a dream that you’ve been putting off and procrastinating on, decide if you REALLY want it and if you do, it’s time to do it. You don’t know how much time you have left in this life. You can’t waste it anymore on the busy work and what everyone else needs and wants.
Find a way to make time for your dreams. Even if it is just 5 minutes a day. It means that it is 5 minutes more than you spent on that dream yesterday.
Start with small steps.
Commit to using the moments instead of scrolling social media or Netflix. I can guarantee that if you just choose to do more of what you love and excites you and fulfills your purpose, you won’t need the “downtime” and “unwind” time at the end of each day anymore.
Remember this:
EVERYTHING CAN CHANGE.
And that change starts with you!

Trust the timing
Remember that the timing is ALWAYS divine even when it doesn’t feel like it.
I got reminded of this today in a very BIG way.
I delayed the launch of a new program last week that will teach an amazing tool for mindset and overcoming limiting belief patterns. I was so excited about it. I couldn’t want to get sharing it with my clients. But then, things just weren’t lining up for it to happen the way I initially planned so I finally surrendered (it took a bit to convince me and to be honest I fought against it) and chose to delay the launch.
Today, I was offered an opportunity to make my training for clients even MORE valuable.
I’m glad I surrendered and didn’t continue to push against the situation because now it will be so much better than it would have been for every single person who chooses to take this life shifting course.
So, if I’m doing this, I know you are too.
Where in your life are trying to ‘push water up hill’, fight against the inevitable or you are ignoring the signs and your intuition to stop or change course?
It’s time to SURRENDER.
And then TRUST, that the timing is always divine and the plan will unfold if you let it.
And then, when it unfolds, take the next step.

Where is your focus?
When we get sick, it’s easy to focus on the ‘effect’ that is happening to us right now. In fact, western medicine tends to treat the ‘effect’ in most cases. You have a pain, they treat location of the pain. You have an infection, they treat the infection only. But, what caused the illness to happen? What was happening in the body, with the immune system, with the gut, with the patient’s stress level and emotions before the ‘effect’ happened?
This is the CAUSE.
This is what also needs to be treated.
And while it seems like you should be putting out the fire right in front of you, the ‘effect’ that is happening currently, that is not all that needs to get looked at and treated.
The cause, the SOURCE, needs to be identified and addressed as well. This is what Functional Medicine does. You treat the symptoms while determining and treating the root cause of the issue. This is how true healing happens.
This concept can be applied to so many things in our lives…
When the child is having a meltdown, you deal with the behavior (the effect) but are you looking at what caused it. It could be a food intolerance, an emotional upset that occurred at school, a lack of sleep, not enough water, etc.
Our partner continues to do things that frustrate us but what is the cause of that. Do they not feel heard, are we just overly stressed and tired or did we not communicate our needs well.
Our business isn’t thriving. Is it really the algorithms or is it because we aren’t really solving the right problem for people or articulating it properly or maybe it’s priced wrong or we aren’t talking about it enough or reaching the right people.
We tend to focus TOO MUCH on the effect and try to heal things from there when we actually need to heal the ROOT CAUSE of the issue.
And when we do that in our health, our relationships and our work, we actually heal the problem.
So, where in your life right now are you treating the effect and not the cause? It’s time to shift your focus.
