Are you still going strong on those resolutions, your goals for 2020 and for the month of January or is the resistance already rising, are the limiting beliefs slowing you down and is the discomfort of being outside your comfort zone making it hard to continue?
How do I know that this slow down might happen?
Because it happens to all of us. It is natural to feel resistance and fear when doing anything different and it is something that I have been studying and figuring out ways to combat so that I can create more of what I truly want in my life and so that you can too.
There are so many ways to move through resistance and boost your mindset that are effective. My favorite book, The War of Art by Steven Pressfield, provides you with an awareness about resistance that will change how you view and ultimately what you do about it, the Socratic Questioning method is a great way to figure out what is holding you back and why, the 5 second rule from Mel Robbins is brilliant for battling resistance and my personal favorite is a spiritual mindset tool called Ho’oponopono. It is a simple verse that you say each time your resistance rises, your emotions shift and things aren’t happening as you would like. Its focus is letting go of limiting beliefs (ones you aren’t even aware are there) so that you can create more of what you truly want.
So, arm yourself with a few tools, recognize that resistance to anything new is normal and continue to take the actions needed to create what you want in 2020.
